4th Annual Harford County Pet Expo

CGRC will be joining the 4th Annual Harford County Pet Expo held at Darlington Volunteer Fire Company this year! We are working on improving our community involvement as well as club member involvement, and this is your next event to try! CGRC will have an outside booth for this event. We will supply our own tables, chairs and tent. This is a full day event, and I would like to see our members rotate throughout the day. Think of it as a 1-hour enjoyment with your club and goldens. If you can and want to stay longer, the more the merrier! I want this to be a fun and relaxed event for the club and an excellent opportunity to share our club and expertise with other pet owners. We plan on having educational handouts, golden retrievers on site and just for assured fun – a Golden Retriever Kissing Booth!

CGRC Fall Festival of Puppies
This year we are trying something new, and we are calling all CGRC puppies and breeders!

What a wonderful opportunity for Breeders and their puppies to get together in one place to celebrate all that is puppyhood and get personalized tips, tricks, and insight on how things are going while raising your bundle of golden joy!
CGRC is welcoming all puppies from our breeders 12 months and under (and owners), all CGRC breeders and any member that would like to socialize with our young goldens.

Education Events & General Meetings
CGRC, Inc. hopes all members can attend Club meetings held every other month.
Each meeting begins with an informative educational program aimed toward encouraging responsible dog ownership, ethical breeding practices, or activities for you and your Golden. This is also an opportunity to learn about current CGRC, AKC and GRCA news and events, and to let your voice be heard regarding your club’s business.
CGRC, Inc. was formed for the enjoyment and education of all members and other Golden Retriever owners. The primary benefits of becoming a member of any Golden specialty club are realized from attending club meetings and events, developing lasting friendships and sharing Golden knowledge.
Membership is more enjoyable and rewarding when you take an active part in the planning, organization and management of the Club; when you participate in various events and activities, and when you help manage club related projects.
Our general meetings and events are free and open to our club members and non-club members. We will provide club information for all new faces and hope to see you join in the future. Any meeting or event requiring RSVP, payment, or designed for club members only, will be provided to current members via our email group.
We rotate a variety of topics that will enhance your knowledge of golden retrievers and encourage a positive relationship with your dog throughout your lives together. Some of our favorite past events are Grooming Demonstrations, Veterinarian Lectures, and Introduction to new Dog Sports!

Board Meetings
Board meetings are held in-person or virtual every other month. Our board includes 8 members of CGRC, and we represent the club and our future endeavors.
Board meeting announcements will be sent via our email group and are open to all members. We encourage your participation either in-person or you can send your request to one of the board members directly.
Awards Banquet & Holiday Party
The annual meeting and holiday party are held in December to celebrate the accomplishments of the year and the new club officers are elected and officially installed.
The Awards Banquet includes a dinner where awards are presented to members and their dogs for all the hard work they put in and have earned over the last year!
